Hi everyone! I placed an order tο a seller for some pieces (145€ worth) and he
sent it to me but due to a mistake made by DHL the package was returned to him
and was never delivered to me. Since I discovered this, I tried contacting him
many time offering to pay again for the postage to send it back ( I know he received,
I had a new tracking number from DHL) but no answer. Should I open a case with
PayPal? I’ve tried with 5 emails and even in his language but no reply!

First open a Non Shipping Seller alert.
In your order, to right "Report problem".

It usually make them move.

I nothing changes after 7/15 days, then open a PayPal case, yes, of course!

Check the terms page of the seller's shop to see if there is an explanation
there. If not, do as the other posters have recommended and open a PayPal case
and NSS claim.

Thank you everyone! I was thinking about an NSS but fact is he did send it, it’s
just that the package never reached and it was sent back to him and I know that
he did receive it! I mean, he can’t be blamed for not sending it, it was DHL’s
fault that couldn’t reach me. His fault is that he doesn’t contact me after many
tries and now he has the package AND the money! I don’t want any trouble, for
him or me, I just want the transaction to be completed, hence I offered to repay
postage! Anyway, I will file a NSS, might make him make a move. Thanks again
everybody!

NSS is a badly misnamed term that covers ll of the following situations:

(1) Seller does not ship the package at all.
(2) Seller ships the package and you don't receive it, regardless of what
happened to the package itself.
(3) Seller ships the package, you receive it but there are missing/incorrect
pieces.

Just to be clear, did you send any messages thru BrickLink? The reason I ask
is because some sellers dont respond to emails but will respond to BrickLink
messages.

A very justified question my friend, of course I did, it was my first method
of contact with the seller and I have the emails from BrickLink to prove it.
And then I sent emails and then message and email translated in his language
in case he only accepts these. I’m starting to feel bad because maybe he has
some serious problems in real life and I’m concerned about my hobby, but I need
to protect myself somehow nevertheless, right?

I agree with everyone else to start a NSS followed by a PayPal claim. I was just
making sure you contacted him thru BrickLink and not just thru email before starting
the NSS.

Hi again to everyone! I’m posting this on order to let you know what happened.
The seller contacted me, he said he was away to attend a personal matter and
he acknowledged the problem that had occurred with the post office and fully
collaborated. Of course I retracted any claims I had already made with PayPal
and BrickLink and waited for him to resend my order and just yesterday I received
my order, as expected. So, all is well in the end, thanks to everyone for their
insight and their help in the matter!
