I’ve a number of sails without copyright mark or Lego logo.

I was told that sails had copyright c mark from 1992 so sails may not have anything
on them if they were produced before then, fine.

The sails I have without marks look like sailbb01, sailbb14, and sailbb15 ( black
& white ).

However I do have 1 sailbb14 with logo.

They look ok but the sets that these belong to were produced from 1994 according
to the catalogue.

Is the info I have regarding dates correct ?

Should have added that the catalogue images for 01 and 15 do not show a copyright
mark but 14 does.

Another question comes to mind :

I have seen one entry ( catalogue ) where it states that the stripes vary in
position, is this true for most if not all the early sails ?

Thanks in advance.

I imagine so. I think they were all hand cut on a die/jig, where the operator
slides the material into the cutter in roughly the correct orientation and then
cut them. So they looked similar but hand slightly random differences such as
the alignment/position of the first stripe depending on how well aligned they
were. When they had other patterns on them, or copyright notices, they tend to
align them a little better to make sure the designs were centred but there is
still some variability that you'd only notice if comparing side by side.

Thanks for the reply, my guess but didn’t know.

Still need clarification on sails without markings finishing dates, particularly
need to know if sailbb01/14/15 does exist without markings.
