| Can anyone tell me if changing the macro tags in the invoice can cause an error
and prevent the invoice from being sent?

Yes, it can.
I don’t know the details but some customized invoices broke when BL started to
collect taxes (because they didn’t have the taxes on them or because they had
direct PayPal e-mails or “invoice links” that shouldn’t be in taxed sales).

Would you be kind enough to post a copy of the macro script. I think I may have
messed it up and I'm not great with html. Even if yours is a custom script
for the order invoice that is ok.

Would you be kind enough to post a copy of the macro script. I think I may have
messed it up and I'm not great with html. Even if yours is a custom script
for the order invoice that is ok.

Go and edit the template.
Copy/paste the whole text to notepad (or something else, just make sure yo have
a backup).
Then at the bottom of the edit page you can delete your custom template.
Now you can start with the default template
