| If I try to add a Reddish Orange part to a wantlist, nothing happens when I hit
submit. Also, if I try to change a part to Reddish Orange, I get a tinyint error.
Also, whenever I try to upload an image file for a post to this forum section,
I keep getting 403 errors.

| It was originally 552x610, but here's a smaller version: |

 The BL number for Reddish Orange is 256. That’s above 8bit (tinyint:
0 to 255).

As Nubs hinted, if your image is above 640-pixel wide, the forum ‘needs’ to resize
it, and its resizing function is borken since November.
So resize before uploading.

In this case, it appears to be "just" the frontend that is limited. The
color ID for Reddish Orange looks to be OK in the database, judging by the nightly
brickstock/brickstore data dumps (they do show 256 as the ID - if the DB field
was too tight, it would show ID 0 if anything).
Niek.

It may be the DB field in Wanted Lists that’s too small, while the other fields
containing a colour ID are fine….

Thanks for pointing out this issue. BrickLink does have free available color
ID indices between 0 and 255, so we changed the new color Reddish Orange to ID
167.
There are over one-hundred-sixty free color IDs, still, so we can keep the efficient
database! 😉

Er, I count 207 different IDs in the downloadable list of colours.
That leaves 256 − 207 = 49 free IDs.
(And we’ll need 2 for the new browns, so 47.)
