| studio program not working after downloading update Version 2.23.12_1. using
mac os version 14.2.1 (23C71). when opening studio or a .io file a window says
there is an update available but the program is frozen. can not update. can not
close.

Hi,
It’s a known problem, a lot of users have been caught in it: https://forum.bricklink.com/viewtopic.php?t=9775

There’s no fix yet but I listed possible workarounds here (none perfect): https://forum.bricklink.com/viewtopic.php?p=31723#p31723
Some seem to have had success with Sonoma 14.2.1 and EarlyAccess, but not all.
Also, as you can notice, all the posts are on the dedicated forum for Studio
and PartDesigner, https://forum.bricklink.com/ (hover over the red Studio icon
on every page, then click “Studio Forum”), which is where one should look for
info first

Yep, and the same on the Studio forum 
This bug is a nasty surprise from Apple: it breaks Unity (on which Studio is
built), so the Studio team can only wait for Unity to solve it. And that just
before the holidays and in the middle of a BDP build period (we got the palette
on the 1st and submissions start January 15th).
Also, usual LEGO withdrawal panic, even if it’s digital

Same problem here, update available, but no responding, the only way out is force
stop.

Same problem here, update available, but no responding, the only way out is force
stop.

| Same problem. Studio is frozen and can't update... impossible to open studio
and work with it
