So this has happened 3 times already within, oh say, the past 3 months. Lego
Studio keeps corrupting my files. I'll open it sometimes and when I do, the
previously opened files in the little explorer don't show up. When I click
on the file, it will just say parsing and if it does get past that, nothing shows
up.

I've tried unzipping the file, but if I right click on it, the wheel spins
and file explorer crashes (I have to restart my computer forcefully). I don't
know if it's because there is a part conflict and because the file is so
large (14,000 pieces) it just won't open.

What's going on here? I love this program, but at this point I don't
want to use it anymore. I have plans on making even larger models, but not if
lego studio is going to gobble them up.

Are there any programs that can help me look at the ldraw files inside?

Have you checked whether the drive the file is on has enough free space to hold
the unzipped file?

If you have had to forcefully restart your computer, it may have corrupted file
and directory structures. Run a scan on the drive the files are on and allow
it to finish.

Whenever you restart your computer while a program is attempting to write data
to it, data can be lost if it is not allowed to finish writing the data.

You should always use task manager to end the StudIO program. This will allow
your computer to recover and properly reallocate the memory and other resources
the program was using. If you don't end the program properly it causes issues
such as you describe.

You did not mention what operating system or computer specifications you have,
but usually most versions of Windows will allow you to end the StudIO program.
Other operating systems will have their own version of task manager which may
differ greatly from the Windows task manager.

You should look up how to end a task on your operating system, and always remove
future stuck versions of StudIO using that method. It is a far better way to
get your computer operating again, than restarting it and risking file and directory
structure corruption.

Hope this helps.

Cheers ...
