| I just received a very large order (over $2000) from a new account and the customer
has already paid for the order. But should I be worried? What precautions should
I take? I will deliver with insurance on the package and tracking for sure.

| insurance, tracking, and signature. confirm that bricklink and Paypal addresses
match if you want for extra peace of mind but in general it should be all good.
high $ order from 0 feedback users is quite common.

paypal seller protection (although arguably it dosnt help much) 100% won’t help
if your ship to an address other then the PayPal address. In general this isn’t
a big deal for orders but for extra peace of mind there is no harm in double
checking on high $ orders and then if there is a decrepincy to ask the buyer

If buyer pays via PayPal onsite, they will match because the address that PayPal
copies the address of buyer that he he uses to pay via bricklink and it will
be the one that appears in the details of transaction, so seller would not even
know and will not have access to check the primary address of buyer. (i.e. the
address of transaction can be different from the primary address of buyer on
PayPal)

I think you are taking appropriate precautions. The buyer has paid. I would
make sure the payment was through Paypal.

Personallly i dont allow such high orders unless if the buyer contacts me beforehand.
Pypal requires you to ship with signature when total is over 850$ usd
I would invoice the buyer shipping costs including insurance.
If the order is not from canada, then candapost only insures up to$1000
In that case you would need to find a different courier, of you can do some surgeries
to this order, remove few items so that it is $1000 and then the buyer can submit
another order (once the first one is paid) which should be shipped nd insured
separately.

| Also take photos of the order before packing and shipping. And email the pics
to the buyer. (That’s what I do for new buyers.)
I’ve never had a sale that big but have had several relatively large orders from
new buyers with no issues.

A large paid order, given the current economy? If a problem, it's what some
might sarcastically frame as being one of those "good problems"
Maybe under another forum topic as a straightforward query? It just doesn't
seem to fit within the Problem Order's charter: Problem with Order and
problem with Buyer or Seller in Order.
Guess it really comes down to what's perceived as problematic to some. This
somehow seems entirely antithetical to that sentiment, however. In my opinion:
tracking, of course as with all orders. But expenditure on insurance is not necessary.
