Comments from Submitter:
Hi, this is the first change request I submit, so I hope I've done everything correctly!

This issue is a tough one and it concerns several figures.
I chose Legolas lor035 to highlight the inventory error because so I can point out several errors at hand.

First, to prevent any further confusion: All of the issues mentioned below do NOT apply to the Legolas figure lor015 from 2012-2013!

Currently 5 minifigs are listed having the head with Item No. 3626cpb0812: sh430, dim008, lor035, sh224 and sw0638.

However, I think two very similar but different heads were erroneously merged into one (let's call them A and B):
- A is the version for which earlier proof exists. It first appeared in 2012 in figure lor035 Legolas: In the normal face expression, the eyebrows sit very close to the eyes. The black lip has a slight crease on top. The cheeklines feature a visible angle and go down below the chin print.
In the angry face expression, the eyes feature NO lashes.
- B is the version that first appeared in dim008 Legolas. In the normal face expression, the eyebrows sit higher. The black lip has NO crease on top. The cheeklines almost have no angle and end at the height of the upper lip.
In the angry face expression, the eyes DO feature lashes. Besides that, the angry expression is identical.

From the sources I can provide I can tell that besides lor035 also earlier batches of figure sh224 and figure sw0638 feature head A, BUT it seems that during production of those two figures they changed the head to B. Legolas (lor035) however, from the extensive sources, reviews etc. I looked into, never appeared with head version B. Thus, currently, the photo of figure lor035 has an error, as the angry expression backside of version B was wrongly photoshopped into the photo.

Currently, the head with Item No. 3626cpb0812 has a photo of version B for both front and back, but because it obviously was merged with version A, the item site erroneously says the head was in production since 2012. ... So for version B there is an Item entry in the system (judged by the current photo of 3626cpb0812), but not for version A.

Here is some photographic and videographic proof:

Legolas lor035 exclusively with head A (most obvious are longer cheeklines and lack of lashes of angry face):

sw0638; Boxart and promo photos feature head A, some reviews and also BL photo feature head B:

sh224; Boxart and promo photos feature head A (also BL photo), some reviews feature head B:

Review with head B: https://jaysbrickblog.com/reviews/review-lego-76045-kryptonite-interception/

sh430; For sh430 I found no proof that it was ever rolled out with head A, but there is little photographic evidence, as the figure wears a mask. The sources I found feature head B (also BL photo):
B: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mABK-Aj4PtY&t=101s
B: https://www.ecosia.org/images?q=lego%2076085&addon=opensearch#id=3604D8AC18D8205B00A1647B8F765E1F991FB92B
(The next time I go home to see my LEGO collection I may check if my version has head B; I can’t remember noticing any difference to my several Legolas figures with head A when I got sh430, so maybe my figure does have head A, as I usually pay much attention to such things.)

I think it’s necessary to update this, as Legolas figures especially are quite expensive. Buying one and not getting the correct head would be quite a loss of money.

I agree. There are two PCCs assigned to

Part No: 3626cpb0812 Name: Minifigure, Head Dual Sided Brown Eyebrows, Wrinkles, Calm / Angry, Clenched Teeth Pattern - Hollow Stud
*
3626cpb0812 Minifigure, Head Dual Sided Brown Eyebrows, Wrinkles, Calm / Angry, Clenched Teeth Pattern - Hollow Stud
Parts: Minifigure, Head
and they point to different parts:

https://brickset.com/parts/6029342/mini-head-no-1116

Do you own the earlier head (A) yourself and would you be able to provide an
image for the catalog?

Yes, I certainly own head A two times from the lor035 fig. Unfortunately my collection

I have a Legolas. I'm not sure which one. And I may have kept heads from
that Atlantis set for a custom I did way back. I'll see if I have A.

Brickset shows A in only set

Set No: 79001 Name: Escape from Mirkwood Spiders
*
79001-1 (Inv) Escape from Mirkwood Spiders
280 Parts, 4 Minifigures, 2012
Sets: The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings: The Hobbit
. That only means it is the only one
that never had B, but with a year gap of two, it is reasonable that they used
A in some early promo pics, but released the other sets only with B.

In the initial request I linked some reviews of the other sets that show head
A actually also was in the later non LOTR/Hobbit-sets. For the Battle of Five
Armies sets I found no photographic proof it ever included head B.
