| Hi!
Today I found some cool lego cars on rebrickable and I used the option to put
them on my bricklink want list. So far so good. Then placed the items in de basket
of The Brick Time Store. A German store, since it is in the European Union, that's
fine for me.
But the S/H costs were twice as hight as the order itself. I was wondering why
this was, so I messaged the store. No answer. I figured that I did something
wrong, so I placed the items again in the basket of this store. On check out
is now stated I'm on a stop list. So I contacted the store again,.
I don't now why. But the first message was unread and the second too.
Can't figure out why I'm on a stop list and what to do about it.
Hope I find some answers.

| some sellers only read the messages in their inbox so they would show unread
on bricklink. some sellers don't like to respond to messages regarding shipping
costs. (btw shipping costs (separate from insurance) are generally completely
unrelated from the order cost so if I bought an item for 1 cent and shipping
was $10 its the same if i bought $100 of stuff and shipping was $10 so I'm
not sure why you would message the seller asking why shipping costs is more then
the product cost (they may even have a several $ fee for orders under a certain
$ threshold))

According to its terms, this store charges a “picking fee” for lots below €4.00.
(The banner also says they have an average lot value of €0.00….)
Such fees are shown as Shipping & Handling (they are only, sometimes, separated
in the invoice).

Ahhh this shop...
It's funny, every part you add you see the "shipping fee" increasing
accordingly.
It's then easy to sell a Plate at 0.02 
I'd be the buyer, I'd simply report it.

A lot of people, including myself, have all BL messages forward to email, so
someone can read your message on email and then just delete them and they don't
show up as read.
As for the rest, some people just aren't nice. They probably took your message
as an unwelcome complaint and stop listed you so they wouldn't have to deal
with it.
What to do about it is just move forward. There are thousands of Bricklink stores
and that one isn't nice.

| Ok, thank you for your replies.
And I know that 1 item or 100 doesn't do anything with the shipping costs.
But when ordering something within the EU the costs are around 15 euro tops.
This one was 65 euro's. So I could not imagine this was right.
I'll move forward. 
Looking for an affordable shop which has a lot on stock... As you said, there
are plenty.

Sounds like a store in Belgium, was charging 65 euro shipping cost. I got it
sorted with them though, for 7 euro instead.

8 years ago a postal employee opened a package on the way to me and pilfered
the contents. PayPal took my side and I returned the package for a refund and
the seller accused me of stealing on the forum and 4 people stop listed me.
In those days you could see who stop listed you. All of those people eventually
took me off their list.
I just went from 6-7 a couple months ago. I checked all of the stores I had
recently bought from and it wasn't any of them. I don't know. I stop
list people when they try to scam me or do an NPB or something like that.
It could be that someone I stop listed figured it out and stop listed me as
revenge. I really just don't know. But there are thousand of fish in the
sea.

1-2 more people stoplied me a couple months ago too. Maybe I wrote something
on the forum few people didn't like.

I know 5 of those people stoplisted me. Few years ago, I wanted to know who had
stoplisted me. I found a way to find out, using the existing features of Bricklink!
It turned out it was a store that I had not bought from and at the time he stoplisted
me, I had not written anything on the forum. It could be because I had an NPB
with a negative FB at that time and he somehow saw my profile and wanted to protect
himself.
Now, I don't care who those people who recently stoplisted me are.

Maybe it was a "stupid" question (excuse me), as buyers often don't
know / realize shipping prices, especially for Sets and Instructions, Baseplates,
etc.
Maybe it was a good question and the pricing is just stupid (or a way to get
money without paying fees).
In all cases, the seller should have replied you (if you left him some delay),
but he's neither NOT obliged to.
It's just about courtesy or a commercial concern.

Much more, if he stop-listed you, then your message has probably been read

On the subject of "least Favoriting", can the sellers see when someone

This is not what OP did. OP just named a store. A store name is public information.
They also didn’t defame that store, they just asked a question on something that
surprised them.
OP (and many of the people who answered) didn’t understand that there were lot
fees and that fees are shown under Shipping & Handling in the cart.
And OP were stoplisted by that store just for asking for that explanation.
(Answering “it’s lots fees, this is explained in our terms” doesn’t demand more
effort than stoplisting. But then, the terms aren’t clear either, so let’s put
all that under the carpet by stoplisting “from the hip.”)
And now they are stoplisted by other sellers just for trying to get an explanation
from the forum.
How dare buyers try to understand BrickLink’s Byzantine fee structure and stoplisting?

doxxing = naming the person / store you are complaining about..
preferrably , complaints should be annoyomous & should be only to gain help from
others to solve the issue / problem. public shaming is unnecassary & looked down
upon by majority of members.
and.. oh really, i wasn't aware members stop-listed people for doing that
publicly.......
guess i learn something new everyday.

The Stop List is used frivolously as often as not, much like the "Ignore"
feature is used. Your placement on another’s stop list seems to be done with
transactional motive at least. To my knowledge, only two of the nine lists we’re
on are associated with transactions, which includes simple communications such
as yours. The other seven; who knows I do know that there's little sense
in speculating about such things.
My point is to not take it to heart, and to simply move-on to better opportunities,
they're there in abundance. It's these types of outside influences (nudges)
in our lives that open more doors to better deals, if you only allow it.

Shipping costs typically depend on weight and volume and not the price of the
parts, unless you are over a threshold where the seller insists on insurance.
If a piece costs 1c and the same part in another colour costs 1 Eur, then the
shipping costs are going to be the same.

It's not the problem here.
In short, this seller adds a fee to each and every part added; and the total
goes hidden (on check out) into the shipping fees.
