Is anyone having problems with their inventory not getting deleted when someone
purchases an item? On an order I received today, all 68 lots that the customer
ordered were not deleted in my inventory so it looked like I had the same amount
as prior to his order (i.e. purchased 20 Pearl Dark Gray Ingots and inventory
said I still had 20 left when it should have been zero).

Weird things may appear within the next 10 minutes of the Checkout, AFAIK.
Like parts going to Stockroom.

If it persists - I doubt - but check if it's still the case just after the
cleaning at midnight EDT.

Otherwise, if like many others (still even after this recent hack) you can't
check while having local dated copies of your Inventory (download XML, BrickStore...)
then, how can you be sure apart saying "I'm sure!"

I had this problem as well. I didn't notice until two people ordered items
that I had sold over a month prior. Now I double-check inventory status after
each order. I am not sure if I did something wrong or it's a problem in the
system, but definitely embarrassing to have to apologize and refund.

Were you using any API based apps that manipulate your inventory, without going
to the normal BL web based screens ?

I do not use the API apps, but occasionally I will upload/download XML files
to make changes (in addition to the normal web based screens). I have not seen
this issue.

While it can happen (and has, here), this is sooooo ULTRA rare, chances are high
it's something went wrong or was forgotten on your side.

Use download XML and save dated Inventories, or better, use BrickStore (free,
open source) to save a local copy once per week for example. And save whatever
you upload. With all this you can get a clue of what happened and how.

You really don't need to check inventory after an order.
