I've come across a weird situation.

We have a lot of used 47753pb020

Part No: 47753pb020 Name: Wedge 4 x 4 Triple Curved No Studs with Dark Tan Bricks and Light Bluish Gray Eye of Horus, LEGO Brick, and Scarab Hieroglyphs Pattern
*
47753pb020 Wedge 4 x 4 Triple Curved No Studs with Dark Tan Bricks and Light Bluish Gray Eye of Horus, LEGO Brick, and Scarab Hieroglyphs Pattern
Parts: Wedge, Decorated {Dark Blue}
and while some of them have
the same color for the bricks at the bottom as the photos, which is similar to
the old dark gray, we also have some that are definitely dark tan.

Is the actual color supposed to be dark tan and the few we have that look like
the images in the catalog discolored, or is this a known thing that just isn't
noted on the item's page?

Attached here is a picture of both variants we have side by side, we've come
across both variants many times through the years we've been listing used
items.

Just to say, if I've put this in the wrong forum please let me know where
I should put such posts next time.

Thanks!

Further confusion, the photo for the set shows the part's bricks as dark
tan

Set No: 7305 Name: Scarab Attack
*
7305-1 (Inv) Scarab Attack
40 Parts, 1 Minifigure, 2011
Sets: Pharaoh's Quest

Is the photo (and the parts we have with the same color) wrong? Discolored? Or
a variant?

It is most likely just print variation from different production runs. The bricks
on the part in the current catalog image are also dark tan. They just look like
dark gray because the contrast of the image is poor. So, the bricks are definitely
always dark tan.

What it really looks like is that the part on the left in your image was printed
without a white ink layer underneath the dark tan ink. Because of that, the yellowish
hue of the dark tan ink is mixing with the dark blue hue of the plastic to create
what visually appears to be a greenish hue to the ink. The one on the right seems
to have had a white ink layer applied underneath the dark tan ink so that the
dark tan color really pops like it should.

In any case, I have found evidence online from sealed sets that show both types.
Therefore, I have added an additional note to the part as well as your image
that shows the difference between the two.

Cheers,
Randy
