| Hi folks. Initially when I set up shop, the software I was using was in USD
so I set my prices in USD as well to make things easier. However, I'm no
longer using that software and I'd like to change my pricing to CAD. However,
simply changing the currency does not adjust the prices.
What's the safest (and hopefully easiest) way to accomplish this? What precautions
should I take, ie backing up store, closing my store etc..
Then there's the task of resetting all my prices at once to 6 month average.
What's the easiest way to do that?
I'll admit I'm more of a hands off seller when it comes to maximizing
sales. For me it's a hobby and there's no difference to me if I get one
or two sales a week vs five, but many more would be unmanageable for me to keep
up with and this is not my primary source of income. Having said that, I'd
still like to easily drop prices on mass.
Please share your tips and tricks! Much appreciated.

| I would import your inventory into brickstore.
convert your prices to Canadian
Delete your inventory
Change the brickstore file into Canadian
Upload your inventory back into bricklink

BrickStore is a way, you could just change the price of the lots to CAD and use
the update field instead of deleting and uploading.
But the Bricklink site way is prices are 1 to 1 when changing store currency,
so you have to set all items on sale with +X% or -X% to account the USD to CAD
exchange and after that use the option to convert all sale prices into base prices.

Few years ago, I changed currency (and prices) from CAD to USD. The reason is
that CAD fluctuates a lot, i.e. like today a price of a set is 100 Euro and in
three months, it can be 90 Euro.
I think it is better and fair to keep prices in USD.

the thing is with that you would be taking a hit in sales as (at least for me)
when finding parts to buy i find the item them sort by currency and generally
only look at those options for stores i buy from so any candaian sellers who
sell in USD have a smaller chance of being someone i consider as an option as
they only show in the buy all or if i sort by country

Interesting!
Now I see how you never ordered from me
I only search by country: first Canada, then Denmark, Sweden, then Germany,...
By when it comes to rare items, there would be only 5-30 stores having that rare
part so I even don't use that feature.

Interesting! for me france is usually second as sometimes shipping from France
to canda is cheaper then lettermail within Canada (depends widely based
on the store tho some of them have shipping starting super high)
