I was trying to put the micro statue of Ant Man from the new Marvel 2 Goliath
CMF series into my inventory.
When I checked the micro statue I noticed differences between this new Ant Man
and the one that was put into the inventory of Goliath.
So, I think, the Bricklinker that put this inventory into the system made a mistake.

The differences are mostly seen in the silvered print.
The new one, see my own picture, hasn’t got the silver print at the neck, the
silver print above the hips are square and do not have a smaller line, the silver
leg print is thinner than on the older one.

That Bricklinker tried to put a new Antman into the catalog, but this one went
in because LEGO says it is the same piece. They just aren't super consistent
with the print.

No offense meant by the word Bricklinker.

On a small scale of this Ant Man there are that much differences that printingerrors
or inconsistencies do not seem logical.

It makes complete sense. As a given process is used on something becoming ever
more small, the number of things produced successfully within the tolerance of
that process will decrease. In other words, assuming all other things are equal,
your rate of failure increases as a certain technology is used on ever smaller
objects.

For example, if you have a 2cm-wide piece and your printing tolerance is within
0.05cm, you won't see much of a difference when the print inevitably shifts
around (and it will) as the tolerance is only 2.5% of the width. So, for larger
pieces, you have a much greater chance of the printing process succeeding at
what it is supposed to do. However, if you have a 0.5cm-wide piece and your printing
tolerance is the same 0.05cm, you will much more likely notice the shifts that
naturally occur as the tolerance is now 10% of the width. So, for smaller pieces,
you have a much greater chance of the printing process failing at what it is
supposed to do.

Cheers,
Randy
