| While buying a GA label this morning, I noticed the estimated objective delivery
times. For domestic (CONUS 48 states) they were quoting what I expected, but
for non-continental (AK, HI, PR, etc,) it said up to 26 days. This is
a significant difference from FCPS. For people in the non-continental locations,
they should expect extended delays in GA packages arriving (even if the price
looks the same as what it used to be with FCPS).

| Good to know. Reading through the Ground Advantage prior to it's implementation,
everything I read said 2-5 days delivery which is what I reflected in new shipping
terms. I've had to change it to 2-7 days as some estimated delivery dates
from Maryland to California were 7 days. Again, another departure from FCPS.

Well, it does say “ground.” Travelling on the bottom of the ocean takes time:
there’s no roads!

I shipped a GA pkg last Saturday the 12th from Colorado and it was delivered
to Guam AFB on the 16th with no problems.

I was told by my local postmaster that the 26 days is done to make the PO statistics
look better and that it is basically a name change without many back end changes.
In this same conversation, she basically said "Amazon takes priority, since
when you invest 4+ billion in USPS, you are basically a partner, not a customer."
I've tried to find Amazon's contract with the USPS, but many people
have file FOIA requests that have been denied. I think we need to pressure the
release of this information to see how much small shippers, like many here, are
subsidizing Amazon's shipping.

I thought Guam was GU, not GA. Georgia is GA.
Or maybe you're talking about the Republic of Georgia?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georgia_(country)
But that's GE, not GA, and that's not part of the continental U.S.
Oh, wait… you're talking about Ground Advantage.
Anyway, no delays here on Long Island.
