Snappy and responsive in the Seattle area just now. Then again, we do have some
pretty gnarly internet service here

I've seen a few forum posts mentioning the legacy site code being a big headache
to maintain and update.
Is this an issue with the site, or are some users misinformed? If it's really
an issue, please keep us all up to date on changes that fix this issue, so they
can be tracked and tested by those that might be affected by them.
