I'm trying to sell a kit for 3000 dollars to a buyer in Germany from the
US. According to research, shipping an item worth over 2500 dollars internationally
requires a filing with the AES. To make this filing, it seems like you need an
ACE exporter account. The only way I've seen to make an ACE exporter account
is through a company, which I am not nor am I a part of. Is there an exception
to the AES for individuals? Is there another way to file that I'm unaware
of? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
