I found a bunch of these spikey balls in a lot of vintage Legos. They seem like
they are made of the same material as Legos, but I can't identify them. They
are about the diameter of a quarter. I appreciate any help I get!

Google image search results make me think it might be some kind of spar ball
or snowflake or scent diffuser.

I haven't seen anything like it in hard plastic although it is likely from
some clone brand, if it even is a toy of any description.

Are there any stud connections on any of it? It might be some kind of plastic
packing material, don't know why they'd use hard plastic though.

Definitely not LEGO brand, as far as I can tell.

Cheers ...
