Maybe they like them, but could be persuaded to part with them for the right
price.

Perhaps a sale later? On eBay I have seen items listed for a outrageous0 price
and if you offer a very low price it is accepted. Or it is to get buyers to
look and maybe look at other things in the store. Or, maybe the seller is in
LaLa land.

Just an example from eBay to show that sometimes sellers do stange things to
listings to make money.

This seller has ridiculous high prices across the board, his minimum buy is 99
euro. I couldn't even buy the 77 euro minifig without adding something else
expensive.

The €22.22 minifig would do it

But why list it then? Why not just not list it? Or are you waiting for odd chance
that someone pays the price and then you are willing to part?

You are right, I moved it to the stockroom (first time I'm using that option)

They need to stop allowing their cat to walk across the keyboard, and create

If it is the Portuguese store, presumably it is intentional as they overprice
everything but make many sales. I imagine they don't care about least favourites
for their store so long as enough people go down the "buy now" route
and don't care about checking prices.

This store is already in my least favourite because of their VERY VERY HIGH prices
!!
Some things are incomprehensible...

But it's very simple to understand!

Say you wish to build an old Millenium Falcon, you then just buy all "easy"
parts anywhere, and ALL the remaining at Paulo's shop.

If you don't care for the price, and/or calculate you'd anyway pay 1
shipping fee per remaining part in 50 different shops, then it could be a good
deal.

Maintaining 20000 Lots shop is a full time job.

Price isn't "just an item price compared to another"; it's also
(and for some, mainly) a service.

Those prices seem to me to be placeholders on items that really should be in
a stockroom rather than for sale. But hey, someone may want one desperately.

I think someone went and purchased their minifig anyway.

Looking at this Help Topic, which I found from searching for "minifigure",
in the Help Center link found at the bottom of every BrickLink page, there doesn't
seem to be anything illegal about listing these minifigures:

https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=102&q=minifigure

You might be out of luck if you don't like the seller's gimmick. Maybe
he got a sale of a minifig he did want to sell.

Cheers ...

I didn't see it in the items for sale for that listing. Does it show while
it's in an order awaiting processing? I don't remember when BrickLink
updates the items sold list anyway, although I reckon that the order status would
have to be invoiced or after payment has been received. Perhaps it gets done
during or after maintenance?

It is instant.

Payment status has nothing to do with it.

The price guide updates are real time. I once removed an item and the price guide
changed accordingly, same with lowering or upping a price.
