Sorry, I need to vent. Does anyone else hate how many ads bog down the Brickset
site??

There's a lot of great content there and it would be cool to be able to catalog
the sets in my personal collection the way I used to do on LUGNET in the (very)
old days.

I was attempting to read a new set review and a massive full-screen background
ad for Mazda crashed my damn browser. If I had any clout in this universe at
all, I would call for a boycott until they stripped all the ads and figured out
a subscription model instead. I'd pay a buck a month to use that site if
it was actually navigable!

But I have absolutely no clout, so... rant over.

Sign in and they disappear.

Lol, I signed out and my ABP blocked 24 items on one page. That's a lot of
stuff! I think I'll just stay signed in for now.

Like others have said, the ads don't wreak havoc on the browsing experience
when you log in. It's such a simple thing to do, and like most sites, there's
an option to stayed logged in.

The ads are shown to casual users and are unfortunately a necessity in order
to keep the site online and us able to create the content that our visitors expect
to find there.

As others have said, log in and you won't see any ads. The cookie has a long
lifespan so you won't be troubled to do so every time you visit.
