Excuse me but why does most every member on this discussion page shoot me down
for having an opinion or problem?????? I am in my 40s and don't need this.
Everyone else can have a an opinion. I am sorry if I don't know everything
about selling or rules. A seller can issue a coupon whenever they want so what
does it matter about telling a potential buyer about it? Why does everyone have
an attitude about everything? Don't worry I won't post ANYTHING again
on this discussion page.

I think the problem isn't 'telling a potential buyer about it'.
More like 'telling existing buyers that if they act in a way beneficial to
you, then you will offer them things others can't get.'
I have to say I tried a similar coupon when buyers marked orders as complete
when I first started selling. I quickly stopped as it made little to no difference
to the store and I felt it wasn't worth the admin time. These days I rarely
bother with coupons except as an occasional GOGW or a thank you to someone who
has helped me out.

Then please simply read Help and TOS?
In fact the rule is to protect you and me as small shops (I'm a bigger small
shop, but still small).
Imagine those big Featured shops giving $20 in refund, coupon or discount for
every Positive feedback? They'd get 99% feedbacks!
While you and me receive maybe 40 to 60% feedback // orders
Which is why one shouldn't propose any extra service, refund, rebate or anything
in exchange for a feedback.

| I have done this since the opening of my store. I state in the drive-through
email "All buyers that provide feedback will receive a coupon for your next
purchase." It would be against the rules to say give me positive feedback
and you will get XX off your next order. You may realize that I don't state
how much the coupon is. For customers that place large orders, the coupon tends
to be more worthwhile.
I don't know of anyone who would be motivated to give negative feedback to
get a coupon though.
I can tell you that I do not feel it significantly increases feedback. Of the
coupons sent out to date, only 4% have used the coupons.

Sorry but it's essentially buying feedbacks, whatever the price is,
or is announced or not.
I don't think it's allowed, but I'm sure it's not fair
for your buyers too shy or too busy to give you a feedback; as like the others
they did place a nice order. They deserve a coupon also.

I agree with Sylvain: I don’t see any difference, it’s still buying feedback
to me.

You have a small store: most buyers would already have bought everything they
need/can the first time to make the shipping cost worth it.
And even if they know about the coupon, as they don’t know its value, splitting
their order would be a (loosing) bet as the second shipping would certainly cost
more than the coupon.
So it’s only people who forgot something and/or are in love with the mailperson
who used the coupons
