Which one looks better - Just the colour-adjusted original images, or the ones
that have been cut out from the background and edited over a plain white backdrop?
Note that these pictures are not mine; they were sent to me by another member,
so I cannot just retake them with better lighting.

Thanks!

Both need to be shown, since these pictures are for torso variants that have
X-ribs rather than small prongs.

The natural ones look best, even though the catalog guidelines stipulate a white
background. Whenever there is heavy shading or other color issues, items can
look weird when the background is removed because the background gives context
for the shading / color issues.

The original, natural images look better.

The photo is underexposed. It looks more natural with the original background.

You might be able to make the white background one look better by brightening
at the upload tool.

How's this look? I think the yellow is a bit too bright.

This looks great!! Did you use the attached image in the first post or the images
that I emailed you? If the former, I already tried to adjust the colour, which
may be why the yellow hands look a bit bright (though not really noticeably or
problematically so).

Hey, thanks!

I used the ones you sent me. Give me a day or two to clean up the rest.

Ah, nice! 👍
No worries - I still need to make the entries for the other torsos anyway.
Thank you for your help!

Thanks!

Some cameras have an embedded automatic white balance, that makes assumptions
about the image, and may actually cause a white background to not come out white.
To compound this, the artificial light source while tilt the balance in one direction
or the other. Try different light sources (including diffuse natural daylight),
to see what I’m talking about.
