| That is my analysis after a week plus. Orders across country are taking 7+ days
at times when they previously would take 2-3.

Ground Advantage should be moving at the same speed as FCPS was. It was about
a year back that the service objective for FCPS was changed to 5-7 days, but
some (obviously) were leaking thru quicker. What the re-branding has done, is
to make it more clear that speed = Priority Mail (like the name implies) and
Ground Advantage is ground transport (also as the name implies).
Think of it like this …
Ground Advantage = UPS brown
Priority Mail = UPS blue
It’s not an exact translation, but there are similarities there. I would not
expect any Ground Advantage parcels to move by air, unless it was to Alaska or
Hawaii.

Yes absolutely agree, especially if the packages are going to the West Coast.
I live in Massachusetts and for First Class, the packages would get there in
3-4 days. The last one with Ground advantage I sent to CA , took 6-7 days. It's
seems really slow. However orders to the middle of the country are taking less
time than before so go figure....
I am hoping that as they get this new program sorted out , things will move faster
for locations west of Ohio.

| Mine have been faster and cheaper, 3-4 days. Only from MD to Cali is taking
5 days. But sometimes that happened with FC also. All in all, I think it is
better. I actually lowered some of my shipping prices to reflect this.

I am seeing some really odd tracking details. My outgoing parcels are bouncing
around to places where they never used to go. So far, the final delivery times
are not too bad or too slow. [1]
My local post office has totally new procedures for handling parcels -- EVERYTHING
is just placed into one single large bin (gaylord type container). No sorting
at all. And everything goes by truck to a far away sorting plant that has (automated)
parcel sorting equipment.
This is very different because local parcels are no longer separated to be handled
locally -- everything goes to the far away sorting plant regardless of package
type or destination. This can be expected to increase the final delivery time
of less distant (and especially local) parcels.
* * *
[1] My outgoing parcels all get sent to Syracuse, NY. Until Covid, only Priority
and Express were sent to Rochester, NY to get on airplanes and Syracuse, would
put all other mail on airplanes and sent to their (final) destination sorting
plants.
Since Covid, all of my outgoing parcels of all types get sent to Rochester, NY
after only passing thru Syracuse with no tracking scans (or sorting). And Rochester,
NY would route either by truck to Cleveland, OH, or Albany, NY -- and everything
else was put on an airplane in Rochester.
NOW, Rochester gets all parcels, but most stuff going long distances is being
sent by truck to Pittsburg, PA (a place that my outgoing parcels used to NEVER
go to) to get on airplanes or trucks.
Fortunately, I am still seeing Rochester, NY to Springfield, MA for stuff going
to the New England states and direct to Metro, NY for Long Island and New Jersey
addresses. And Rochester, NY direct to Atlanta, GA (YAY)
Stuff heading to St. Louis, MO seems to be getting there a day faster than before.
(YAY)
But anything going to west coast states is being routed thru weird places. Such
as WEST Valley City, UT and then to Sacramento, CA before going to Seattle, WA
or Portland, OR -- really ?? This seems wacky. I have never had stuff going
to Oregon or Washington passing thru those places before now.
I think perhaps this is by design to reduce the volume of (domestic-only) parcels
that used to be handled thru Los Angles, CA, perhaps allowing them to handle
international parcels more efficiently.
I have not had anything destined for Philly, PA or Washington, DC or Baltimore,
MD yet to see how those destinations are handled. The same for Florida or Texas,
locations that previously would have very FAST final delivery, often only 2 days.
Before now, stuff from NY used to get "stuck" or held up for a day
or two when heading to middle states like Minnesota and Arkansas or Indiana.
Perhaps with more stuff being routed to Pittsburg, PA, those "stuck"
packages will get under motion with fewer delays.
NOTE: I do realize that just because a parcel does not show movement or a scan
for a day or two does NOT mean that the package is not moving. Especially if
it is on trucks from say Cleveland to Chicago to Minneapolis or Milwaukee.

| Very similar experiences for my packages. Bulk load out of TLH to Jacksonville
for East Coast, to Atlanta or some random mid-western city for the middle of
the US and then totally random cities for the West Coast. Though I have seen
a few Sacramento scans, which never happened in the past.
All the packages have been delivered within the stated time period, just not
getting the super-fast delivery to the West Coast that I got used to (usually
3 days or less). Which is totally fine for Ground Advantage.
