| Hello guys,
I just wanted to ask how it goes down If I order something from Asia.
It´ll be shipped by Ship most likely?
and I´ll have to pick it up from customs here in germany and pay additionally
19% taxes right?
Thanks in advance
Danilo

Hi,
Shipping method depends on the seller, could be airmail or other express service
too. Better ask before placing order.
AFAIK you'll have to pay 19% import VAT and import duty could also apply
above a certain amount. Plus there could be a handling charge as well.

That depends on the service. It may be by plane too (but not express).

The postman / courrier will bring it to your home.
As for taxes:
— If the order total (without shipping, etc.) is less than €150, then,
as a marketplace/facilitator, BrickLink will collect the import VAT (and you’ll
need to pay by Stripe or PayPal Onsite (not PayPal); but that will be the only
payment methods BL will let you choose anyway, just be sure to use the Pay button
here and don’t pay another way).
To be sure you don’t pay VAT again at delivery, the seller needs to give the
proper info (“IOSS”) _electronically_.
Some sellers can’t do that easily (their postal services aren’t ready).
I’d search the sellers’ feedback for comments from recent EU buyers.
(BL should have a procedure to refund you in case of problems but, well, BrickLink….)
— If the order is above €150, you’ll pay import VAT (19%) at delivery
PLUS duty (about 2%? on the goods) PLUS a brokering fee (it depends on the delivery
service, anything from €2 to €20 or more).
