I just ran across a seller that is handing out neutrals for buyers not marking
orders "completed" within a month.

He's given out nearly 150 of them

Is this....ok? I mean it seems like a bizarre abuse of the feedback system and
I'm sure its alienating new buyers

I guess it's his right but if I were one of the buyers affected I'd give
him a negative

I think it would be entirely appropriate to contact them and let them know their
behavior is way out of the norm. They're our buyers too!

Well some of his feedback describes him as "hostile" which I don't
really want to deal with

Shocking thing is out of 158 neutrals given out. Only 10 people returned the
favor, which also blows mind

Then, I would report them to Help Desk with the reason: Other - "Making BrickLink
look bad for the rest of us."

It does!

And apparently Admins have read; those Neutrals are being removed as of right
now.

Yes it's being remedied.

I wasn't sure that's why I asked here.

Sounds like a tiny IQ mentality there.

Cheers to the buyers and sellers who care more about the product (lego) than
the byproduct of feedback score and even lower down the list: digital order statuses...

This shows why it is a good idea to check both the feedback received and the
feedback left by a seller. I'd least favourite the store and buy elsewhere
if I saw a seller doing that.

Absolutely, you still aren't getting the whole story but you get an outline
of their autobiographies.

It is good that Admins are removing those Neutrals now.

But I hafta ask, Do Neutrals received as a BUYER affect a users FB Rating percentage
as a SELLER??

No, buying and selling feedbacks are separated.
(Compare my buying feedback and the feedback shown in my non-store.)

I'd start a Non Selling Seller alert.

Why don't they just mark it "Completed" themselves instead of giving
excessive neutral feedback? Seems like more effort for worse results.
