You sure it’s not a “farces et attrapes” (tricks and jokes) store?

You open a bottle and a spring-thingy jumps out… or it makes an incongruous sound
when you press the bottle.

I’d like a picture of the back to be sure it’s “imported” and not produced in
a nearby location

It could be produced nearby, maybe in the UK? But it's definitely American-style
yellow mustard. And there were other products on that shelf that definitely came
from the USA.

The grocery store was La Grande Épicerie on the corner of Rue de Sèvres and Rue
de Bac (I only know this because we were on Rue de Bac when we ducked in to get
some refreshment).

I lived close to rue du Bac

And the last time I bought Tabasco (the red one then the green!) it was as a
full gallon (yep almost 4 metric liters) bottles.

We're fond of Tabasco I must admit, and it's really cheap when bought
in this quantity (with Amazon Germany help)

Yeah, I was just joking.

Though “American-style” may indeed be very accurate: receipes are sometimes changed
to local tastes.
For instance, I think Coca-cola has less sugar here than in the US.  (The syrup
is produced locally.)

rue du bac (= ferry street) (if ever you’re writing that down somewhere
for posterity )

Their clients sure have the means to import ‘luxuries’

Oh yeah "American Style" mayonnaise instead of delicious French mayonnaise.

Maybe? I had a Coke while there and I didn't detect much difference but I
was pretty thirsty at the time (had just gotten off the Métro at Abbesses and
forewent taking the elevator) and not picky.

Thanks for the correction! I even read it right off of Google maps and just typed
it wrong.
