| I got new mold 78131 in set 41747. Should this be added as a new item or as
an alternate item number for
The catalog image for 40243 shows only the top and I don't have one in my
collection to compare it so I don't know if there are any differences at
the bottom. Comparing mine to the catalog photos I can see that 78131 has the
mold pip in a different position in the circle where it connects to the step.
There is also a small indentation in the raised edge of the circle where it connects
to the step. I've attached photos of the top and bottom so that anyone who
has 40243 can check for differences.

Thanks for your photos. Looking at the bottom I see that the supports connecting
the inner and outer circle are a bit thicker in the new one. And I guess I should
also have checked all the parts in my set. I had noticed that Brickset listed
a new mold number for this part, so when I opened my set I immediately opened
bag 2 to see if that's what I got. Now that I got to building bag 2 I noticed
that I also got two of the old 40243 in addition to the six 78131.

yup and there seems to be a tiny "notch" in the newer one on the top

Do they connect fine with the old version and function interchangeably?
