Have a bit of a strange issue while using Chrome to browse Bricklink, but only
when I am logged in.

At the top of the page in the search bar it auto fills to "brick 1x2 with
hole" everytime I log in. This does not happen in Safari of Firefox? Attached
is a screen shot. I have clear the cache and cookies and it appeared to go a
way for a short bit but it is now back. I know it is not an end of the world
issue but it is super annoying.

Ideas?

I have no idea why that would happen, but I am curious; why do you go to Bricklink's
main page? I never go to it. I just use the https://www.bricklink.com/my.asp
URL as a bookmark.

I realize that not everyone uses the site in the same manner, but I honestly
can't think of why someone would go to BL's main homepage, unless the
person is a new user.

David, you said it yourself. We can't have new BrickLinkers coming here and
thinking the site is being secretly operated by Mattel (current owners of...y'know,
the "bloks" ) now, can we?

Crazylegoman, you may have to resort to multi-browsering. For example, I use
Firefox for most websites, but I use Chrome for anything Google (including Gmail)
and MS Edge for stamps.com and this site. The reasons come down to the same thing:
Twilight Zone-like issues that I don't have the time or inclination to look
into (another example: stamps.com doesn't work too well for me on FF).

Strike that. Reverse it. Changes made above.

Most people go to the BrickLink main page because it is the default landing page
for the site. Whilst setting up a URL to browse to in Chrome would fix the issue,
the issue still exists. I think this issue should be flagged to the Chrome issue
reporting team by whatever reporting of issues method is used, by whoever is
having the issue.

Cheers ...

I go to the main page simply due to it being the main landing page. I should
have added that no matter what page I am on the issue still occurs. As I stated
this is by no menas a huge issue, was just hoping there was an easy fix

I have never had this problem with MS Edge.

I'm having this same problem. I've cleared my cache, updated Chrome,
restarted my computer, and it still autofills the same set number in the search
bar on every single BrickLink page I visit. I'm thinking it's a bug with
my password manager and not BrickLink itself — if you're using one, try turning
it off, and see if the problem persists for you?
