| Hello,
This is the first time I have used a Forum so bear with me. I am a previous business
owner and purchased and sold many different kinds of products and I also focused
on how long it takes to turn my inventory. I now have started a Bricklink store
and I am struggling with the concept of buying and not knowing if it will ever
sell? How do you turn your inventory is there a formula that I am not aware of
- If anyone has figured this out please respond I would appreciate it.

Some inventory will sell well on its own. Most parts are only bought in bulk
or to fill out buyer's wanted lists. Shipping cost is a huge factor so buyers
need to lean toward stores with a lot of variety. Super common items, unpopular
colors, and boring parts just never ever sell.
So, you need either rare parts or variety. And to understand that most shops
here are not really money-makers but are supplemental income and only covering
the cost of the hobby.

Funny enough, this question has also been on my mind. I think almost none of
us are getting a good return on investment or time. Probably lots of more efficient
things I could be doing for profit. This is a lot more fun though.

Also new to this and to wonder about turn over. You can see volume available
in the price guide per part, would be cool to have a demand metric based on supply,
no of wanted lists the part is on and turn of the part.
It’s purely a hobby for me, really enjoy the sorting and getting orders in. Plus
you find cool things all the time.
If it becomes about the money then it’s a job 😊

| Everything will sell if you price it low enough.
I turn over my average store value about every 6 months. It's pretty much
a perfect rate for me with about 2-3 orders per day, maybe an hour a day of "work"
and 5 figures of profit at the end of the year.
