| I cannot change my order status from “packed” to “shipped” on an order. I keep
getting an error message every time I try to do that. The buyer has paid. I sent
them an invoice on PayPal. I also sent them one on Bricklink (first time doing
that. So I am wondering if that is causing the problem because maybe the buyer
paid the invoice on PayPal and not through Bricklink?

as it can be considered fee avoidance - all invoices need to be sent & paid for
using the Bricklink system

It’s okay for orders on which BL doesn’t have to collect taxes.
It can be done in the invoice templates… but it’s forbidden when there’s taxes
(and it breaks the template anyway).

Yes, it’s exactly that.
You shouldn’t send a PayPal invoice for orders on which BL has to collect taxes
(for you, that means US buyers, UK buyers and EU buyers).
You need to refund the buyer and aks them to pay through the BL pay button.

Yes, that is the problem. Taxes need to be collected so an invoice must go through
Bricklink.
Your next steps are...
1. Refund your buyer. Send a message explaining why you are refunding them and
to expect a new invoice. Ask them to please use the "Pay" button on the
top right of the invoice or on the order page to the right of the order.
2. Send your buyer a new invoice. Do not add a link to your PayPal account.
3. Wait for payment to be made.
4. Ship.
I hope all goes well.

You accept payments in so many currencies. Are you sure you want this?
If a buyer pay you in for example Australian dollars, you receive the payment
in Australian dollars and it goes to your PayPal balance. When you want do exchange
it to American dollar, PayPal deducts 4% of it.

To add to this, if you don’t have those currencies enabled in PayPal, the buyer
will get an error.

The only way to fix this is to go to your Paypal settings and make sure you
only accept US dollars . Go to the little gear icon on the PP page after you
log in , it's next to "log out" on the upper right corner. Then click
Seller tools on the options at top,- its in the Profile section. - Scroll to
the section on "getting paid" and manage or update the settings. The
1st option is about allowing payments in a currency you do not hold. I would
suggest making this one "deny". You can also block payments from non
US Paypal accounts, this would only be if you do not plan to accept International
orders.
