I figured it's time I start contributing to the inventories. Two copies
of 75352 arrived today and it looks like it's reserved. I was going to go
part them out anyway to verify the inventory but it looks like I need to be an
inventory verifier first yea?

Reading the instructions on how to do that, it looks like I would need to be
the first to reserve new sets and/or submit "a large number of" change
requests. So since I can't verify the inventory, just keep parting it all
out and then see if there are any errors to correct in order to build cred?

Yep.

However, it is very hard to correct modern inventories that are usually close
to 100% correct. So correcting older inventories pre-2020 would be where you
would mostly look for things to fix. Having said that, it is getting harder each
year to find older inventories that need correcting as they get are continually
being updated from many helpful members that buy sealed old sets and rip them
open for the greater good of the catalog.

The way to become an Inventory Verifier in the future will most likely be through
the submission of new inventories. And, yes, you will need to get to ones that
you want to do before others do.

Good luck to you. We love new contributors!

Cheers,
Randy

Much appreciated Randy, I figured this was the case.

I remember some curmudgeon chiding me when I joined about not having contributed
anything so why should they help me. ... And I'm sitting there like I am
today with my hands up like "make the process easier".

I'll stay on it.

Here's where you can see what hasn't been inventoried yet:

Once you've done the process one or two times, it gets pretty easy. The hard
part is getting started the first time.

It has been some time I have about hundreds of inventory changes (with proof)
that I could have submitted.
And hundreds more that I know are correct but I don't have photos of sealed
copies to prove them.

For modern sets the only corrections that are usually needed are new molds or
prints that can sometimes be found in later production runs and should be added
as alternates to the inventory.
