| part
shows the [P=3626c,47] in the photo and that's how the "creature"
is in the instructions but on bricklink they are listed as separate parts in
the inventory. should the photo be updated so the head isn't visible in it
or should that be kept as 1 listing and instead a version without a head is added
so an inventory for it could be added. i have the part on hand and can take photos
just not sure what to do.

I can see in the image you provided that there is a head there in the second
image of the assembly. It's visible under magnification. The question then
becomes whether it's necessary to list it as an assembly or not.
I would question the desirability of making a listing for both the head and the
creature together, is it necessary or desirable? It could be done for identification
purposes, but does it really serve any other useful purpose for selling it?
Cheers ...

Try clicking on the Inv link for that animal.
Then try clicking on the image for the animal itself.
For me, the Inv link returns an error page, but the image link returns the listing
for the animal. The Inv link is broken, for me, don't know why.
Maybe you being a Catalog Admin, can look into what's going on with that?

It’s the colour that that does it:
The “,{colour_code}” is added to the ID and therefore the site can’t find it.

This sounds like one of those "known issues" or "legacy parts"
where someone added the default designation for the cow, not realizing that TLG
might make it in different colors.
In my opinion, this needs to be addressed through inventory change requests.
I'm not sure how much work it would be to do this, and I'm not volunteering,
but going forward, if TLG adds new cows using the same part number, it would
be beneficial to all members.
Cheers ...

No. The problem is having changed the code that handles macros without testing
with other things than obviously-colourable items.
Even if the cow wasn’t colourable, it should have been tested, also with a set
or a gear. The colour should at the minimum be removed when they create the
link to (the old) inventories.

|
No, it’s a technical issue with the website. The inventories are correct.
When on the cow’s page, the Inventory tab (not the old Inventory link at the
top) correctly shows either “Not Applicable” parts, or “Medium Nougat” or “Reddishs
Brown” parts depending on whether you’ve chosen a colour or not.
The link to the inventory should link to the new inventory tab, in the correct
colour.

I think this is more of a bug with the site than a problem with the catalog.
