See pictures, recently found this plastic wrap.

No idea what it was used for, I think it is to expensive to use as packing paper.

1985 Belgium.

Any ideas are welcome, I will add it to the catalog if needed.

70 cm wide.

And there is no longer a toy store but a copycenter.

No brand name on or inside the cardboard tube that this foil comes on.

It comes on a cardboard tube and has a plastic finish ... are we sure it's
not just gift wrapping paper?

Many foils come on cardboard tubes...

It does not have a backing, so it is no cutting foil or sticker.
It does remind me most of the cutting foils after those were separated from their
backing though...

So what other plastic foil uses can we think of...?

The colours are very dark and toned down for LEGO. Were they intended as a background
for something?

Wallpaper ?

You might actually be on to something, untill now the best suggestion I got was
as a sort of wallpaper for new items.
Not sure the color is right for that, but who knows…..

B2 poster is 70cm tall, and 50cm wide?

It's probably a table cover used on con and fairs.
Original it would be a couple of meters (you cut it to the length you need).
B1 may be for a 60 x 80/90cm table
and
B2 for a 30/40 x up to 60cm table.

From the picture alone - it does look very malleable
Scrimping on detail does no favours

If it was hung inside a window, I'm not sure if it would lighten or darken
the appropriate areas?

Two nights ago...on a roadside LED, I seen a large Cola company brand for far
less than a second as it lit, I immediately felt a thirst for a Cola. Lol

It is 70 cm wide, length, no idea, not unrolled it yet…

No poster, a long long roll, not going to unwind it

You want it to go over the edgers to cover the table that why i wrote that the
table wold be 60cm.
And yes some can be very long. B1+B2 are cut from a role to fit a table the use.
We use some thing similar in white to cover worn out tables on a place that i
once worked.

  Is it complete?

Yes, I think so.

B1 poster is 70cm wide, but 100cm tall

It is 70 cm wide, length, no idea, not unrolled it yet…

B2 poster is 70cm tall, and 50cm wide?
Poster?

No poster, a long long roll, not going to unwind it

No idea what it was used for, I think it is to expensive to use as packing paper.

1985 Belgium.

Any ideas are welcome, I will add it to the catalog if needed.

70 cm wide.

Maxx

It's probably a table cover used on con and fairs.

Sounds plausible.

Original it would be a couple of meters (you cut it to the length you need).

It is more than a couple of meters.

  B1 may be for a 60 x 80/90cm table
and
B2 for a 30/40 x up to 60cm table.

It is 70 cm wide…

At a typical roll width multiplied by pi = 12.5cm per wrap
Can you backlight it or not?
Windowpaper/display?
I don't spam for no good reason

Good toolbox meeting!

I think 70 cm is too narrow for tablecloth. Then they could better have ordered
a wider default size.

Not really. You see a grey-ish blue with dark blue LEGO logos on it. For that
use special Backlit films are used, in my experience they look and feel different.

  Windowpaper/display?

Maybe ... but even then it is odd.

Maybe someone will have a nice 1985 photo somewhere, and we'll all have our
Aha!-moment.

I would've thought that the print would be 90° to this to get bang for your
buck?

I need to see this hanging inside a window in full sun, before I can discount
that.
It looks like the backing could transfer through to the front, illuminating it,
and the blue is the contrasting factor.

He is a self-proclaimed oddity...

Leaves no marks or residue.

Does anyone have any idea yet or found a picture of it being used?
