I live in Enfield, CT home of the North America headquarters (at least for a
year or two more) and they aren't to social with the community. Many many
years ago when they still did manufacturing here they would do tent sales to
clear overstock but that stopped. There was no real tours available. They have
a store on campus but it is for employees only. They did up till covid have a
family fun run once a year. So basically it's not as exciting as it seems.

They kept that going? I went to a walk/run around the campus 2 or 3 years
in a row, somewhere between 10-15 years ago. It was a benefit for a disease that
I confess I forget the name of. It was cool because participants got to see some
of the facilities, and then had access to the employee store for the day.
I stopped getting notifications though, so I thought it had shut down. Were the
events still fundrasiers of some kind?
Do you know where one would find out if they were to do it again? (in the short
amount of time remaining at that location)
Thank you

All that is true, but can you imagine going through their dumpsters and what
you could find?

it'll probably only take 4 hours to flatten, lay piping & electrical & then
concrete 340+ acre of land so they can start building the 1.7 million square
foot building............
opening something like that for full operation in under 24 months seems quick
considering 8-10 of those months the ground will be frozen.

Virginia temperatures rarely go below 40 degrees Fahrenheit in this region. Sure,
there are times in November-January where the nighttime lows can dip below freezing
and we usually get 1 week in January where the temps can dip below 20 degrees
Fahrenheit. Frozen ground? Not really.

Annual Weather Averages in Reagan National Airport
Reagan National Airport is 41 miles from Chesterfield, so the actual climate
in Chesterfield can vary a bit.
Based on weather reports collected during 1985–2015.
Dec - high 48, low 33
Jan - high 44, low 29
Feb - high 47, low 31
Mar - high 50, low 38
this is not factoring in wind chill or snowcover. these figures are for the Airport
up too 2015, not sure if all that the concrete contributes to higher or lower
ground temps
24 months is 2 years, 4 months each year it is freezing / borderline freezing,
4 months x2 = 8 months of ground likely to be frozen / unworkable conditions.
just facts, but i do not live there, so my Care Factor is minimal at best
recent data is this chart:

Just organize rave parties; the floor will be heaten AND flatten, for free!
That sounds a good plan: build a factory using hand tools and have raves on the
site during winter. What could go wrong?

No. Our ground rarely freezes because the temps do not stay below freezing. Last
winter, my area did not see a single flake of snow. We can have temps in the
70's in October. This year on January 1, our temperature got up to 68.

The factory will be sustained with solar power which will be on the roofs of
the buildings and a solar farm on the land.
Keep in mind that acres are not miles. 640 acres = 1 square mile of land so the
whole factory and solar farm will be on a little more than 1/2 square miles.

It's weird they built a scale model in steel and concrete: I prefer the original
in plastic!
