| Hello, I often use the part out function to create an individual wanted list
for a set. Then I delete the parts I already/still have and finally I have an
actual wanted list to complete my set.
Part Out allows you to part out minifigs as individual parts and I can chose
to include extra parts. But unfortunately, counterparts are not included.
I would love to have the opportunity to include them as well or even replace
them with the individual regular parts while creating the wanted list. Mostly
this ist related to sticker parts. When I complete a set, I need the counterparts
with stickers on, not the plain parts.
Right now, I have to add each counterpart manually after creating the wanted
list and delete the plain regular parts.
Is it possible to add an function "include counterparts" in the Part
Out process?

You can use BrickStore for this, and import the .bsx file into your wanted list.
This could save you some time until it is decided to implement your request on
Bricklink.

Our current catalog infrastructure does not allow for this. Each counterpart
would need to be linked to the part(s) it is replacing in the Regular inventory
to avoid duplicates. It would involve a complicated Match ID system similar to
what we use for Alternates.
It would be a nice feature one day if they could figure out how to build it.
In the meantime, you are left with manual methods or third-party software.
Thanks,
Jen

The information is not directly in the catalogue but it can be deduced
from the catalogue:
— composite parts (like wheel + tyre): the counterpart has an inventory, just
remove it from the set’s inventory,
— stickered part: remove everything that follows ‘p’ in the ID and you get the
plain part’s ID to remove from the inventory. The only problem is if there’s
multiple sticker sheets and some of the stickers are not applied (that is, you
don’t part out all the stickered parts): which sticker sheet(s) to remove?

Yes, it could work for most standard sets, but things could get messy when there
are Alternates involved. Alternate Match IDs and Counterparts do not interact
very well.
I personally think a separate form should be used for this so as not complicate
the existing part-out process. Ideally, there would be different part out processes
for New and Used sets. It would also be nice to have a neat little 'Add stickered
parts to wanted list button' if that's all a buyer was after.
Thanks,
Jen

Ah yes, I momentarily forgot about Alternates. Oopsies

IIUC, this is a goal but in another way: have (or show) different inventories
for New / Used (and maybe Built?). So, still one form but a choice in the inventory
