| Hello Bricklink People,
We need your help on how we should/need to proceed.
One of our customers placed an order, we shipped it and about a week later he
confirmed to us that he had given us an incorrect address.
The order was already in transit from the UK to the USA but we gave him all the
tracking details for him to track the order upon landing in the USA. The mistake
he made was with the house number part of the address.
Fast forward to today, nearly a month later he emails to complain again. We've
tracked the order and the incorrect house number doesn't even exist and the
courier has attempted to contact him several times for delivery. Since delivery
was not successful the parcel is coming back to us in the UK.
What can we do? Do we issue a full refund? Wait for the items to arrive before
we do so? If we do receive the order back, do we trust and ship it back out?
We look forward to any advice. Thanks

| From my buyers point of view, as I have yet to sell on this platform. I would
fully expect to pay the additional shipping costs to have it shipped a seco0nd
time. Others may have a different view.
Good luck.

| Sure, I would recommend checking. I have never really read the rules, was just
letting you know what I would expect/be prepared to do if I was the buyer in
your situation.

| Hello Bricklink Community,
Can I check with someone who might have plenty of experience regarding Bricklink
or even PayPal rules; whether my customer (a bricklink buyer) is actually entitled
to a full refund given the issue I originally described, please?
Thank you for your help!

| Would I need for the goods to return to me physically then?
Or are they entitled to a refund immediately?

You can wait, although if tracking says it is coming it probably is. Did you
tell the buyer and ask what they want to do?

| Yes, the customer is well informed and has admitted fault.
He is waiting for us to instruct on how we will move forward.

If it's the buyer's fault, I'd propose:
* Full refund - shipping fees,
* Or to reship but they've to pay for the second shipment, and they've
to aknowledge that they've they wait for the shipment back (apart if you've
the same order available for shipping...)

| Ok! And is that breaking any rules? I am concerned about any rules Bricklink
or PayPal may have on this matter.

Which solution?
And you're faithfully reship an order; it's not you're trying to
avoid anything
Sometimes complicating makes it too complicated

|
| Agree. I'd also document all of this in the orders page if possible. The
"Contact your buyer about this order" or use the messages. Incase you
have to contact BL customer service, they have documented correspondence of what
happened.
