Hi

If you print postage at home, i believe you have 7 days to get the package into
the system.

If i print later this week, can i still take to PO next Monday and not get charged
any extra - due to price increase

Thanks

I don't have a definitive answer for you but I would have thought it almost
certainly counts from the actual date you make purchase of the postage

Either way even if someone was making up stamp values on their packages to the
old amount and dropped them in the post box a few days after the change I wouldn't
be surprised if the Royal Mail lets many of these go through the system for the
first week or two out of fairness due to it being an easy oversight on the senders
part though I could be wrong?

Worst that could happen is the buyer ends up paying for the insufficient postage
but I would just reimburse them and at least they would be understanding to the
situation given the postage rates have only just changed

If it were me I would have no qwarms over doing what you've suggested

You'll be fine as you are buying a label for a service, not for a value.
Whenever I buy stamps in bulk I always get the named service ones and not priced
ones. That way they are valid for the service, even if it changes price.

Be carefull, whilst some rates such as 100g, 250g large letter are increasing
slightly some are actually going down more significantly e.g. 1st class small,
medium parcel.

Looks like RoyalMail are reacting to competition from low cost couriers at last.
