| I requested a name change for
from "Technic, Brick Modified 2 x 2 with 2 Ball Joints and Axle Hole"
to "Technic, Brick Modified 2 x 2 with Ball Joint and Axle Hole with 6
Holes in Each Ball". This was rejected without any explanation.
Seeing as these holes are a fairly visible feature of this part as compared to
and also described with these two:
Why can these holes not be in the name of this part?
Just curious.

Maybe it was rejected because you said "ball joint" when the part has
two balls.

When doing it just keep it simple. Ask to add "with 6 holes in balls"
to the existing wording

IIRC the only option when changing an item's name is to enter a completely
new name (of course you can copy and paste).

I really don't think the name needs to include any more information than
it already does. Adding the addition text just makes the name longer and more
complex than it needs to be.
The reason the text is in
versus
is the fact that the holes in the ball are the only way to tell the difference
between these two variants.
If 57909 did not include an axle hole, then the holes in the ball would never
have been mentioned in the name of 57909b.
For
versus
the axle hole through 17114 is already enough of a difference to distinguish
the two parts.
