| New to this I was wondering for invoices what method do you use to get the shipping
quote for USPS packages and also UPS packages?

You can use the UPS and USPS websites to calculate shipping.
You can also use third-party shipping websites. One of the more popular ones
these days is PirateShip dot com -- https://ship.pirateship.com/rates
They charge zero fees to use it and will save you and your buyers lots of money
over time by offering significant commercial discount rates.
To get accurate weight, you will need your own weigh scale. Believe me when
I tell you, an (electronic) scale will pay for itself almost immediately. One
that goes to 10 pounds is good enough. Most post offices have them available
for purchase for I believe 35 dollars. There are lots of used postage scales
around if you look, including online sites like Ebay. My recommended model is
Pelouze PE-10 which is accurate, small, lightweight, and portable. One 9-volt
battery will power it for 18 months or more meaning no power cord to deal with.
Good Luck, Have Fun, Sell Lots of LEGO, and Make Lots of Money.

| So you prefer digital versus analog? I'll look in to that model model you
mentioned but the one I have right now doesn't notice when I add a 1x2 brick.
I was testing it out to bulk bundle pieces in bags of 100-200-500 and it wasn't
accurate enough when I was +/- 2 bricks sometimes.

That’s where counting scales come in handy although sometimes to handy since
differences in molds or plastic types can throw them off

Postage Scales are perfectly accurate for weighing packages. And you are correct
that they cannot detect the difference of a tiny amount such as a single 1x2
brick. But they know the difference between 4 ounces and 5 ounces, for example,
and that is all that is needed for proper weight calculation of letters and parcels
for shipping.
For counting of parts, you would need a proper Counting Scale. The really accurate
ones can detect the weight of a single 1x1 round dot plate after weighing a
proper sample (such as a sample size of 100 or 200).
One could also use a bathroom scale to find the difference between 19 pounds
and 20 pounds, but it won't even detect 3 ounces.

I am finding t5hat if I get a price on UPS that when I go to paypal and ship
it with ship station it can be so far up to $7.00 cheaper. So you just usually
use the quote from the USPS or UPS site?

I would not quote a retail rate (which is what you will find if you go to USPS
or UPS) if you can buy the postage at a commercial rate - take the commercial
rate and add a small amount for handling (say, $0.50 to $1.00). Your customers
will appreciate your inexpensive shipping.

Yes, you can create a label from scratch and input the shipping address manually
