Can a seller force me to pay for a more expensive option without explanation?
I am trying to purchase from a seller who lists two different prices for shipping.
There are no indications, or if there are any, it was not clear to me what they
were, how these two shipping options are evaluated.

So I pick my parts and request an invoice and they are charging me the €30 shipping
instead of the €12.50 shipping, without any explanation. (I did not order any
large pieces or expensive parts).

I sent a message back asking for the €12.50 shipping instead, which matches the
chart they have for the weight of my order and for the “zone” my country is in.

If the seller insists on only charging me the higher shipping price, which makes
the purchase not worth it for me, do I have any recourse? Will trying to cancel
the order put a black mark on my account?

There's an order cancellation request option for Shipping Costs Too High
which can be used for when the shipping is not as advertised, or if they had
no other detail to give indication, and they also did not provide a Request a
Quote option or other instruction to contact them in advance. If they decline
it and force a NPB, I would put in a ticket about it and a link to their shipping
terms. In theory, BL should protect buyers for this case.

But if they had any other info provided or notes to contact prior to shipping,
or have the Request a Quote option enabled, then that's on the buyer to take
the proper steps as instructed. It doesn't sound like this was the case though
as you make note of a clear shipping table and should be a valid reason for cancellation
if the seller will not uphold their posted price.

I think the seller should be entitled to enforce what they feel is a suitable
shipping method but if doing so they also need to understand that the buyer should
be well within their right to pull out of the transaction if they are unhappy
with the suggested shipping method

There is the possibility that your order weight + the packaging weight put you
into the higher shipping method.
I would contact your seller first and ask them why you are being charged the
$30.00 shipping for an order that weighs only x amount.
If the seller does say that with packaging, it put your order into the higher
shipping amount, ask them how much weight you would have to remove to reach the
lower shipping rate or ask them to cancel the order.
