| Morning all,
I would like a bit of feedback regarding vintage sets and off colour parts.
I recently aquired a collection of late 80's and early 90's Lego sets
including some Western, Space, Pirates and Technic along with a lot of Town sets.
The majority of the parts are in good condition as are the minifigures. As expected
though many of the white parts have changed colour ranging from a Light Cream
through to almost Tan.
I intend to replace the worst of the discoloured parts but am unsure about those
that are slightly off-colour.
So my question is, would collectors of these types of sets expect to see slightly
off colour parts (considering the age) or would they want fully white parts.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Guy

| Every potential buyer is different. Just describe accurately so there are no
surprises. Obviously, the better condition it’s in, the faster it will sell and
more you can charge, but there’s no “rule”.

Pictures say a thousand words!
Replace what you can, take pictures after the set is built so you can see the
color variations, replace any other pieces you want.
Repeat until you as the seller are happy with selling that set. Accurate descriptions
a must!

Thanks Cass, that was my thought process but just wanted to see what other people
would do.
Cheers
