reason to believe that 5858-2 had a different variant? It’s just a different
box, no?

Great! This confirms that 4106570 belongs to the 6204b variant. Is there any
reason to believe that 5858-2 had a different variant? It’s just a different
box, no?

I think there is very strong reason not to believe 5858-2 will be different on
this piece. I think the hard plastic one just came out in one set before they
realized they needed to make it out of rubber. They'd been doing rubber
a long time before 5858 came out.

what that means.
