Actually, I was processing this morning an order by the top (63) repeat buyer,
that got me looking into the stats.

I have a long time regular that has become and online friend and he was way ahead,
but he hasn't been buying for a while and a new contender is just about to
chase him down. The new guy has made 40 orders in under 2 years. Always pleasant,
often back before his previous order is delivered.

You're doing well over on BO? Nice!

Thanks!
Bricklink is still much better overall but there are a couple on BO that are
very consistent which is nice

I can't speak for Nubs_Select, but in our case, our top customer on BO always
places an initial order, and then starts adding batches to it. BO doesn't
actually "expand" the order. Rather, it creates a new order, and "links"
it to the original one. The number of orders on BO for our top customer is 140,
but the actual shipments for him is more like 40-50.
And on a completely unrelated note - yay! - there is a grater in our street scraping
up the ice sheets!

They started like that with adding 1 or 2 items but then since I kept losing
money on fees I added a .30 (might have been .50) fee for combining orders and
then it’s now for the most part in 1 or 2 orders (first 20 or so were like that)

Yup - we have that set to CAD 0.49 (which matches the base fee Paypal charges,
so in revenue it doesn't matter anymore whether they place an order in one
go or in several installments).

| Stats and graphs are cool. If enough data and some smart reporting, you can actually
distill some useful information to further your take-over of the plastic brick
market (not so much with the top-20-or-so customers, but with stuff like sales
per item ("what are best-selling items in my shop setup", turn-over
speed per item ("hm - I should really up the pricing on that item" etc.
Anywho, below is our top-20 customers for BrickLink and a top-20 customers for
all market places combined. Note that there are discrepancies in the reported
orders on BrickLink and the ones across all market places. This is because the
BL API only returns the customer's login name (which can change over time),
and not the customer's BL ID.

| For sellers that use this data and see a frequent buyer who hasn’t ordered in
a while, do you follow up or reach out to them to find out why? Or do you just
accept that they no longer favour your shop?

You can always send them a "we haven't seen you in a while" coupon.
I agree that you shouldn't contact them to ask why.
