| Hello,
I am accessing the API to get the prices of parts. I get my response for avg_price
& qty_avg_price, but the prices are different from the one shown in the price
guide. The other values are the same total_quantity & unit_quantity. Is this
because of rounding or do I have to add sometging to the prices?
Below are the Retuned Values and I have attached an image from the BL Page.

The prices look correct unless I’m missing something. It’s just going to a further
decimal point since the price guide dosnt go to decimal points normally

Not sure if it's the case, but remember when you (yourself) see the Price
Guide on BrickLink you have some associated settings.
Those may not exist in the APIs; giving different values.

No, it's not you specify what values you want. And if you check, the quantities
are the same. Does anyone know how I can contact the API Team?

I think you have some settings and/or filters in place that are messing with
the price guide.
When I check the price guide for this same part (#6037746), I see the following
stats:
Total Lots: 2056
Total Qty: 159678
Min Price: US $0.0215
Avg Price: US $0.1016
Qty Avg Price: US $0.0937
Max Price: US $2.0000
Maybe change your price guide settings to show four digits rather than two, then
we can tell if the underlying prices are different or if it is simply a rounding
error: https://www.bricklink.com/priceGuideSettings.asp

Thanx for the Direction, after reading the thread and looking at the complete
response from the API I came to the following conclusion:
API prices are calculated without VAT per store that has VAT, But uses the VAT%
of the store's country VAT. More or less the list price.
ONLINE logged on user prices are calculated with VAT per store that has VAT,
But uses the VAT% of the user's country VAT. More or less the net price.
ONLINE logged off user prices are calculated with VAT per store that has VAT,
But uses the VAT% of the store's country VAT. More or less the net price.
Since it mandatory for EU retailers to display net prices with the customer's
VAT% it's logical for this to happen. So prices outside the EU should be
identical online and through the API.
Is there a way to contact the API Dev team to add somethings to API to get make
it more usfull

Not exactly.
The VAT rate depends on the seller’s gross & registration: wether they are above
or below the €10k in EU non-domestic sales and wether they are registered (OSS
or in the buyer’s country) or not (they can register even when below €10k).
If the store is registered: it’s the buyer’s country’s rate that applies.
If the store is not registered: it’s the seller’s country’s rate that applies.
In any case, the seller can still show the prices with their country’s VAT until
the buyer enters their information (delivery address), so, practically, until
the order is made.
TL;DR: for logged users, the prices can be shown with buyer’s VAT rate or seller’s
VAT rate, depending on the seller.
| So prices outside the EU should be identical online and through the API.
|
Yes.

Well that is not the case for the API it uses prices without vat for stores that
have VAT and with vat for stores that have not enabled that option.

Sorry, it seems there’s a misunderstanding: I wasn’t explaining how the Price
Guide or the API do work now, I was just saying that it’s more complicated than
“should show prices with buyer’s VAT” (which is already complicated).
The PG was already wrong when the rule was “should show prices with seller’s
VAT” (not a typo).
| Again does anyone know where or how I can contact the API team?

Stellar already gave you a link to an interesting and complicated thread, and
resumed clearly in 1 line what the problem is.
SylvainLS also detailed more info, and others did.
VAT especially including OSS rules is very complicated.
| Again does anyone know where or how I can contact the API team?
|
You can't "contact the API team".
You're free to locate the Help pages and open a ticket there, or in the Help
Desk.
But don't expect anything from this, including any reply (sorry).
Please read above, use the Price Guide API without region/currency, or simply
don't use APIs.
