| How do you remove one item from an order while it is still in pending without
canceling the whole order? The buyer has changed their mind on one item but
would like to purchase the other items.

I did use the retract order button and submitted the request but nothing has
happened. Is the buyer supposed to do something on their end?

Yes, and of course: you're modifying a buyer's order, you've got
to get his consent.

If I remember correctly, the buyer will get an e-mail notification not a Bricklink
notification. They need to read the e-mail and follow the link to accept the
retraction.
