| In the catalog listing for there is this note: "This part has
a variant that cannot be attached to a stud via the underside center hole."
What information do we have about this variant (known colors, sets found in,
etc.)? How easy is it to find them?

As far as I know they only came in the early 1980s. I have found them in my

I have new ones purchased only a couple of years ago that do not attach to a
stud in the center. I don't know what set they came from since I bought them
from a BL store. The problem is that the ribs meant to grip an axle extend too
deeply into the center hole.
