Hi all,
I kinda poked around in the forums looking for some help on this topic with no
luck; please forgive me if I missed the answers I'm looking for.

I have a fully built 75252 Star Destroyer that my son and I finished about 4mo
ago. I still have the boxes and instructions, just no bags they came in. I also
have a lovely Great Dane that seems to have a pension for nibbling on legos when
I'm out of the house! Grrrr....
So, I have lost a couple of the cannons/laser turrets, a sat dish, and a mini
fig to the Great Dane Destructor!

The set just needs to go. I want to sell it, but with its sheer size, and missing
a small number of pieces (which I DO not know how many, but def under 25pcs),
I dont know how to go about listing it and packing it. I plan to sell it cheap
(300 bucks), but do I need to completely dissasemble it? Partly? Mostly?

I'd appreciate any thoughts and or advice on the subject!

Thanks a ton!

Dana

Replace the missing and damaged parts. If you're serious about selling it
- take some pictures of the boosters reflecting some form of UV light. Yum

Your best option is to sell it on a local marketplace. Becoming a Bricklink
seller is not a quick process. You could probably sell faster and for a higher
price locally. Just put up some pictures and explain there are a handful of
missing pieces. As long as you still have the figures, you can probably get
$500 for it pretty easily.

Thank you for that info! Admittedly, I hadn't even looked into the process
of selling here on the site - I just figured this would be a good jumping-off
point as far as figuring out a good process of selling it. I don't suppose
you have any recommendations of other sites or possible companies that might
be good places to list it at? I'll probably do Facebook marketplace and offer
up. Maybe craigslist.
Thanks again, I really appreciate everyone's input!!!

To sell on Bricklink you first need to upgrade your account to seller and complete
the new seller verification process hoops.

Sell local, advertise it as missing a few parts and show it built and say it
is currently built. That way, the buyer can choose to dismantle or keep as is.
Say collection only, with cash on collection.

I'd give 'em a dollar to see a video of a dog chewing bits off it.

Only 1 minifig lost to the Great Dane…, almost worth it to check the outcoming
product of his Great behind.

LMAO!! Thankfully she didn't actually consume any of the pieces - she just
chewed them up. So technically I still have all of the pieces! They just aren't,
in, the same... Shape? 🤣

_IF_ you know what you're missing or what's chewed up you can dig
around on this site and probably find someone who has all the parts. (This is
not an insult but) it sounds like you may need help identifying the parts by
their part number. Lay everything out on a clean sheet of paper and post a
photo. Myself or someone else can tell you the part numbers and we probably
have them all. Buy (new) from one store in order to not get eaten alive on shipping
costs and replace them on the set.
