| Here was the description of the items:
Small imperfections will be present on black printing on neck where head attaches.
This is from being assembled from prior Lego Store employees and being disassembled
to be listed on BL. Priced accordingly and will be documented
So I asked this:
I don't know if you got my message, but I wanted to confirm that the torso
prints are unaffected by any damage.
His response:
We don't receive outside email as that is a prohibited activity. We only
communicate through Bricklink. Did you read the item description for this part?
Me:
Yes I did which is why I'm asking for confirmation that there is no damage
to the torsos.
Him:
What further description do you need the item listing appears to be very straightforward.
They were assembled once by Lego store and in a sealed 3 pack. When a minifig
is assembled the head piece is put on the torso assembly, that means when the
head piece is removed small imperfections may be on the neck part, for example
the black neck printing from Lego factory may have marks where the head was slide
on and off once.
I listed this very clearly in the item description to cover myself from potential
scammers on a high dollar item. Regardless of who purchases these a full video
will be taken as documentation for my safety.
If this explanation is still not good enough you can submit a cancel request
as I had multiple people inquire about this before you committed to this order.
Me:
I don't know why you keep avoiding answering the simple question: Is there
any damage to the torso print?
Him:
I responded very accurately to your message in regards to this order. Any issues
are noted in the item description as well as the message I gave you today.
If you do not wish to purchases the order you committed to you can select NPX
via the order details screen and we can sell to someone else no worries
Thank you
If you missed the item description of condition I have copied it below for you
to review again:
"Small imperfections will be present on black printing on neck where head

You keep refusing to answer the question. You mention possible damage to the
neck print which really no one cares about. You said it's used so I just
want a simple yes or no as to whether there is any damage to the torso prints.
I do not understand why you keep refusing to answer that question.
Him:
Everything is very clearly noted several times. There is no area where anything
is stated as "used". Our item is priced accordingly by qty and condition,
and by volume is nearly $1 dollar cheaper than the next vendor.
You are taking up valuable time and resources. Please review all correspondence

Thank you

You mentioned it was handled by store staff, yet there is nothing in your description

damage to the torso print. All you have to say is yes or no. I don't know

Based on this guys communication I wouldn't buy from him, but that would
just be because he didn't really communicate in a nice way. Even in my store
when I have people try to scam me I talk nicer to them than this guy talked to
you.... I don't know whether or not it is a scam, but he definitely seems
rude.
Thanks, Noah

I would order elsewhere. Unless it is a rare part where your options are limited,
after the first non answer, I would have taken my business elsewhere.
If it is a rare or hard to find, why not answer the question? As a seller, if
someone is curious of the condition, I try my best to answer, going as far as
including pictures. I want to make a sale and be as upfront about conditions
as possible.
It should only take a few moments to pull the part in question, take a look and
let the potential buyer know. They most likely don't have any malicious
intent, but the lack of clarity is off putting.

|
Really that all depends:
* price and/or rarity (a picture for a 0.25$ Torso?),
* description (if fully described completely and honnestly),
* condition (if New, normally no picture should be needed)...
Buyers never realize hom much we sellers have to work.
Sometimes some of them has to put a limit on inquieries/demands.
I had to.

I wonder why you're asking for more details like presence of "damage

Due to the extended description he gave, would he miss or hide some other damages?
Check the feedbacks, if you don't see any about quality/description problems,
chances are his description is full and honnest?

| The seller defines the item as high dollar not simple.
I would shop elsewhere, when a business person can't take a moment to service
their clients they should not be in business.

As a general rule I find when there’s difficulty with a yes or no question
it comes down to not meeting common terms. What standard do you consider “no
damage?” The other party doesn’t know if you aren’t going to look at it under
a microscope. There is definitely going to be evidence of damage there because
Lego itself doesn’t package minifigures to a standard we would like as collectors.
Through his description he describes in detail all its handling. If you want
a better answer I suggest describing what you consider as damage. That would
help you get to a common understanding of the term.

If you do not wish to purchases the order you committed to you can select NPX
via the order details screen and we can sell to someone else no worries
Thank you
If you missed the item description of condition I have copied it below for you
to review again:
"Small imperfections will be present on black printing on neck where head
attaches. This is from being assembled from prior Lego Store employees and being
disassembled to be listed on BL. Priced accordingly and will be documented "
Me:
You keep refusing to answer the question. You mention possible damage to the
neck print which really no one cares about. You said it's used so I just
want a simple yes or no as to whether there is any damage to the torso prints.
I do not understand why you keep refusing to answer that question.
Him:
Everything is very clearly noted several times. There is no area where anything
is stated as "used". Our item is priced accordingly by qty and condition,
and by volume is nearly $1 dollar cheaper than the next vendor.
You are taking up valuable time and resources. Please review all correspondence
from this order and make your informed decision on if you wish to purchase.
If you want to get out of the order please submit a cancellation request via
NPX and we can move on.
Thank you

Me:
You mentioned it was handled by store staff, yet there is nothing in your description
about the torso print. It is a fair question for a buyer to ask if there is any
damage to the torso print. All you have to say is yes or no. I don't know
why you insist on refusing to answer a simple and common question.

prints are unaffected by any damage.

If this explanation is still not good enough you can submit a cancel request
as I had multiple people inquire about this before you committed to this order.

and incresed problems, tried to give the buyer the benefit of the doubt, this
was not a wise choice.

| Yes. I would buy from this seller.
The seller gave a good description indicating that these had been assembled by
lego store staff before purchase. I imagine the parts are likely in better condition
than those played with by kids in the BAM stations.

NPX becomes only possible after the seller started the NPB process.
By selecting the option NPX you're accepting an unnecessary strike on your

Customer law probably allows you to cancel the order anyway.

Order had been in NPB status as we did not hear from the buyer. Only after the
case was opened for NPB did the customer go on this warpath.
They did not read the description of the listing and have submitted and edited
response via the forum . We have asked this customer to only communicate via
the Bricklink message system so all messages are documented for buyer and seller
safety. They seem compelled to only want to communicate through private email
which is a red flag as a seller. We snet them all information in regards to the
part per the item listing.
They ordered the exact same part on October 11th and tried to AFTER placing the
order haggle for a lower price AND "free shipping", this also went to
NPB status. They were not satisfied with this order even though we highlighted
they were getting their order for $131 cheaper than the next vendor. Bricklink
is not a flea market and this kind of haggling after an order has been placed
is not acceptable on this platform.
Now they have ordered again and this issue has come forward.
Since this customers return to the platform they have only left negative feedbacks
for sellers. We spoke with the last seller they left a negative for and they
communicated similar behaviors.
We go above and beyond to communicate clearly and upfront about items and parts
which is why we put an extensive description clearly describing any potential
issues.
IMO this order should be canceled by Bricklink as this buyer is questionable
in their behavior and is a financial liability to all sellers. Though we have
extensively documented everything this buyer will leave a Negative/Neutral and
is simply trying to get things cheaper and more than likely open some sort of
case via PayPal.
This post will also be forwarded to Bricklink as this order should be cancelled

Here's my current order list:
Out of all these orders, I've only had two problems. The first was a seller
who cancelled my order saying he was out of stock before relisting it for much
higher after finding more a few days later. The second was this guy. If I spend
several hundred dollars, I'll sometimes ask if the seller is willing to waive
shipping charges. Whether they say yes or no, I always pay. I don't know
why he is trying to make me sound like I'm some sort of problem buyer.

Hi Jimmy -
I'm trying to understand both sides here.
1) You should not post private conversation with a seller in a public forum.
You shouldn't and are probably not allowed to do so. If there's a major
problem, then Police and Authorities will see the details you'll provide
to them.
2) You've an absolute right to ask for shipping discount or anything negotiable.
I do this - and I'm often rejected, fair enough! But you can do this! You
don't have to defend yourself for this, neither prove you behave well with
a list of orders - which also should remain private.
3) The seller described extensively the said parts condition. You could ask for
more details, but sincerely you may be asking much, even too much. As, alternatively,
you could order a couple of them, inspect them, then buy a bigger quantity. Sellers
can feel harrassed, for whatever the amount is.
In résumé, I think this has far escalated for "nothing" (excuse me),
and you may reconsider the whole problem?
If you're not happy with this one find another seller?
Discuss and negotiate privately?
Consider we're all humans doing our best?
This seller isn't perfect, but I don't think you are either.
Please Jimmy have a very fine new Year. Really.
Sylvain

I don't think they have a right to ask for a discount on a large order if
they have already placed the order. If it is before making an order then fine,
but once placed it is more like blackmail. If the seller disagrees and cancels,
the buyer will possibly leave negative feedback because the seller did not comply
with their demands.

scammers on a high dollar item.
"Small imperfections will be present on black printing on neck where head
Thank you
***If this information is still not good enough for you there is always the Bricklink
help desk you can contact***
Me:
You mentioned it was handled by store staff, yet there is nothing in your description
about the torso print. It is a fair question for a buyer to ask if there is any
damage to the torso print. All you have to say is yes or no. I don't know
why you insist on refusing to answer a simple and common question.
Him:
Please utilize the resources from prior messages.

| After a unique conversation with Bricklink staff and for my safety the order
has been canceled
In Problem Order, bigasbricks writes:
| This buyer has been an issue on all 3 orders they have placed with us, they forgot
to mention they are a repeat haggler after they commit to purchase an order.
If we are such a bad seller why would they order 3 times? hmmmmm
This post will also be forwarded to Bricklink as this order should be cancelled
with no penalty to buyer or seller.
Regards

Here's what really happened in the prior two orders:
Order #1
Prior to ordering I asked:
Can I get free shipping to California for placing an order over $400? (all minifigs)
He said:
That may be an option I can take a look for you. If you can utilize the request
a quote I can see your cart weight and go from there. Thanks for messaging me.
He did not charge any shipping fees after I placed the order.
Order #2
As I placed an order exceeding $500, I wrote a message in the note to seller
box:
Can I get free shipping for placing a large order?
He said no, so paid the $4.50 shipping fee.
I sometimes will ask for free shipping when making a large purchase of small
parts. After his response to order #2, I didn't bother.
Care to explain how that is having an "issue" or being a repeat haggler
after ordering?

After a couple of his responses I would've saved both our times and monies
