| Dear friends, I am facing some strange problem.
I am sorry, if it is common issue, but I didn’t find any information about it
yet.
I browse some stores here, add stuff to my basket and at that time I am usually
logged out. When I wish to checkout I am logging in and some strange magic happens
- all the prices in my basket increase. And increases are relatively big.
For example torso priced 3.5 euro after login costs 4.5 euro, set priced 15 Euro
after login changed price to 20 Euro. So, increase may be up to 25%. I don’t
understand it.
I may understand that some shipping fees may be recalculated, but change of
the price of items itself is really confusing. And I buy stuff from EU shops
with delivery to EU state…
Does anybody know why this happens or how to avoid it?

Before you log in the system doesn't "know" you're in the EU so it's
showing you prices without VAT - that's my guess.

Thank you! It seems to be the issue!

Maybe, when not logged in, BL thinks you’re out of EU, and shows your prices
without VAT.
(When logged in, BL uses your account/home address. When not logged in, BL guesses
your location from your IP address.)

Try a store without VAT (a small one that has no VAT ID in their store terms).
The prices shouldn’t change when you’re logged.

Good to read you saw what ‘the problem’ was.
Some people think a seller can see your shopping basket and can increase their
prices, this is not possible.

I didn’t even assume that the seller may shift some prices in my basket🙂. I
thought initially that it could be some technical problem and was curious just
what causes such situation. But thinking bad about people from the initial point
is, very wrong. But of course, I believe that nowadays some buyers may blame
sellers in everything, just because they wish to buy some stuff for a price of
penny. 🙂
