| Hello,
I friend of mine would be interested to sell his Cloud City set, which is in
new condition, with all bags but number one sealed. Minifigures are present,
and box is in general good condition.
He wants me to sell it for him in my shop.
As I see only one new sealed set here for sale at the ridiculously high price
of €10.000, and that used sets sells for quite a high price too, what would be
a good price to sell on BL?
He sent me some pics (sorry for potatoe quality!), he will make better ones over
the week-end.
Thanks for your advice !

Most of the value of that set (as it is not sealed) is in just one figure. And
much of the rest of the value in another 3 or 4 figures. So you could add up
their values. The rest of the set (parts value) is going to be ~300-500 Euro,
not much compared to the minifigure prices. The box and manual are worth something
if in decent condition.
So probably about 3000-4000 Euro. Maybe start at 4000 Euro and see if it sells,
and if not reduce it. Or if it doesn't sell at the higher end, try selling
the figures.
Just be very careful when selling it to avoid scams.

As a frame of reference with no adverse intent I can say that I sold in Jan 2021
a very similar 10123 set (opened, but all bags factory sealed - photos available)
for CAD $1,875.
I don't know if this price is still relevant today but it may offer some
food for thought as to it's current market value.

A lot has changed in the last two years. So many new collectors in the hobby
have really pushed up prices.
I'd still go high when pricing. Sellers get many chances to determine market
value if they overprice a one-off item but only one chance if they underprice.
If listed at that price, I doubt it would stay listed very long. It would probably
be snapped up and sold on.

Absolutely. I sold a used copy recently with minifig damage (including Boba
Fett with cracked left arm) for $1800 USD. Assuming the minifigs in your friend's
copy are are in good shape, you should be able to get a lot more than that.

Thank you for your returns. I remember the older prices around €2,000, so it's
quite crazy to see this small set having such sky-rocketed. I will talk about
your sales experience to my friend.
