| Most of my buyers fail to mark their order as received, much less complete.
Since I track all packages for my small store, is there a message template (or
can there be) for me to send out when the package is delivered? Then I would
mark the order as RECEIVED. It would still be their responsibility to mark it
complete.
When Bricklink sent out the designer sets, they changed the status.
Thank you, Lisa

I don't know the answer to your question. But I think I would be irritated
if I purchased something and the seller marked it as "received", without my input.

The seller doesn't have the ability to mark it received anymore.
Once set to shipped, your options are packed, shipped or completed.

The Thank You, Drive-Thru message could be edited/rewritten to do this. Wait
to send out the Drive-Thru email until after you know the package has been delivered.
I think that would be the easiest way to do what you want.

I understand that you want to keep track of things in your shop, but this is
not the best way. It is NOT the buyer's responsibility to mark their order
Received, Completed or to leave feedback. They can do these things if they want
to and that's it. The only thing they have to do is check out and pay for
their order.

| On bricklink, I want good communication, not frequent communication. I don't
mind being told an order has been dispatched (drive-thru). And I really want
to know before an order is sent if there is an issue with a missing part or some
other similar issue. But other than that, I prefer not to be contacted again
unless I opt in to their store messages.

you are assuming the 'buyers' care enough about this website to log in
more than once every 2 months to buy something ..
they do not live here.. don't treat them like neighbors..
business is business. buyers have zero responsibility past paying for
the item. if they choose the do things past that point.. it's just that ..
a choice..
